About the Journal

The Azman University International Journal of Management and Social Sciences (AUIJMSS) publishes original research, theoretical contributions, and evidence-based policy analysis across the management and social science disciplines, with particular attention to the economic, social, and developmental challenges facing Nigeria and the wider African context.

Published by the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences, Azman University, Kano, the journal appears twice yearly and considers only original work that is not under review elsewhere. All articles are freely available under an open-access licence.

Aims & Scope

The journal welcomes empirical, conceptual, and review articles in, and across, the following areas:

For Authors

AUIJMSS welcomes original, unpublished manuscripts from scholars and practitioners working in the journal's aims and scope. Submissions are accepted year-round for consideration in the next available issue.

Manuscript Preparation

  • Submit as an editable Microsoft Word (.docx) file, in English.
  • Include a title page with the full title, all authors' names, affiliations, and the corresponding author's email, as a document separate from the manuscript body.
  • The manuscript body itself should contain no author-identifying information, since AUIJMSS uses double-blind peer review.
  • Abstract of no more than 250 words, followed by 4–6 keywords.
  • Standard section order: Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, References (conceptual and review papers may adapt this structure where appropriate).
  • References formatted in APA (7th edition) style throughout.
  • Tables titled above the table; figures captioned below the figure; both numbered sequentially.

How to Submit

Send your manuscript as an email attachment to auijmss@gmail.com, together with the separate title page described above. You will receive an acknowledgement of receipt, and manuscripts that pass initial editorial screening typically receive a first decision within 4–6 weeks. A manuscript must not be under consideration elsewhere at the same time.

Ethics & Originality

All submissions are expected to be original work, properly cited, and free of fabricated or falsified data. Studies involving human or animal subjects should confirm appropriate ethics approval and informed consent in the methodology. Diamond Open Access & Copyright

AUIJMSS is a Diamond Open Access journal: publication is free for authors (no APC, no submission fee) and reading is free for everyone, with no subscription or paywall. Accepted articles are published under a CC BY 4.0 licence, and authors retain copyright while readers may freely read, download, and share articles with proper attribution.

No author fees — Diamond Open Access: AUIJMSS charges no article processing charge (APC) and no submission fee of any kind. Publication is entirely free for authors, and every article is freely available to readers on publication, with no subscription or paywall.
