Abstract

Etsako West LGA, Edo State, Nigeria was the site of this research on community entrepreneurship and innovation. In particular, it delves at the ways in which process and technology advancements impact societal and economic growth. Two hundred and eighty-seven entrepreneurial operators from the agro-processing, retail, service, and artisanal industries were surveyed to gather primary data for the study. Multiple regression analysis, correlation, and descriptive statistics were used to examine the data. Researchers found that Etsako West business owners are very innovative when it comes to technology and moderate to high when it comes to processes. Technological and process improvements have a favourable and substantial impact on company performance (R² = 0.571) and social impact/community development (R² = 0.468). According to the research, innovation helps communities grow by fostering job creation, skill development, and local empowerment in addition to increasing entrepreneurial profitability and operational efficiency.
