This study examined the impact of work ethics on organizational performance at the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC), Akpakpava branch, Edo State. It sought to proffer solutions to performance challenges arising from poor punctuality and weak commitment within the organization. The study adopted a survey research design. The population comprised one hundred and twenty (120) employees of BEDC, Akpakpava branch, including management staff, administrative personnel, technical staff, engineers, customer service officers, and field workers. Taro Yamane's formula was used to determine a sample size of ninety-two (92) respondents, selected through convenience sampling. The validity of the research instrument was established through expert review, while reliability was tested using Cronbach's Alpha method, yielding a coefficient of 0.78. Data collected were analyzed using frequency tables, percentages, and SPSS version 25. The findings revealed that employee punctuality significantly improves organizational performance and that employee commitment positively enhances organizational effectiveness. The study concluded that work ethics play a vital role in achieving sustainable organizational performance at BEDC, Akpakpava branch, Edo State. It was therefore recommended that management strengthen ethical standards through effective supervision, staff training, and policies that promote discipline, accountability, transparency, and professionalism among employees.
